Log and flagstone shelf

Storm fallen cedar log, reclaimed flagstone scraps removed from a repair job last year.

Usually I build stuff similar to this, but use wooden slabs for the platforms--and they're usually used as cat-trees. And cats love them, of course. This one however....I'm thinking this one is more for flower pots or something. An outdoor shelving unit.

The section of tree was kept largely as I found it. A couple of unwanted twigs and branches were trimmed back or removed and then notches were carved into it, to accept the flagstone platforms. No glue or bolts were used for the platforms, they just slide right into place.
